VI COMMANDO

Gnr. Kenneth Puttick, formerly of the Royal Artillery, served with No.3 Troop of No. 6 Commando.

Gnr. Kenneth Puttick was Wounded In Action (WIA) when a mortar shell landed near him shattering his right leg and arm on 6th June 1944, aged 19, during action to take Bréville and died of his wounds in the early hours of 7^th June 1944.

Kenneth was the son of Arthur Henry and Annie May Puttick, of Braintree, Essex. He was laid to rest in Ranville War Cemetry (Calvados, France). Grave IVA.E.10.
